Back when the Beach Boys were making new music that mattered...

Here's a great video from Youtube, of the Beach Boys "performing" (actually lip synching) their song "Don't Go Near The Water" at Brighton in the UK, 1972. Brian Wilson is absent (as he was most of the 70s)... Mike Love is, of course, lead vocalist, with Carl Wilson behind him in the Nez hat on guitar, Ricky Fataar on drums, Blondie Chaplin to Mike's right on bass, Al Jardine to Mike's left on rhythm guitar, and, in the back, Dennis Wilson on keyboard.

This track was a single in the UK and Europe, and was released in the USA on their SURF'S UP album (1971), among others.
